Beneath ancient tea trees, a village sheltered for a thousand years and the breath of a single rose.

Sacred, serene, and as nourishing as ever.

The shade of the ancient tea king tree, the subtle fragrance of the ink-red rose, and the faith that never runs dry where the three rivers converge.

Yubeng encapsulates the protection of the Hani village within its scent.

The top notes of Pu’er tea and ferns give rise to a misty tea vapour—the serenity of brewing a fresh cup of tea whilst seated in a wooden hut, the whispering of the ancient tea king tree’s branches in the wind, safeguarding the village’s tranquillity;

In the heart notes, dark red rose and white sandalwood slowly unfold. This ‘ageless snow lotus’ of Yunnan’s red soil carries a deep, evocative fragrance that intertwines with the woody essence of white sandalwood. It is a warm blend of floral and fruity notes that calms, soothes and relieves emotional stress, bringing true peace to both body and mind;

In the base notes, patchouli and tea notes blend in perfect harmony; the bitterness of patchouli and the sweetness of tea settle gently upon the skin, like the smoke rising from ancient villages at dusk, uniting millennia of herbal wisdom with nature’s bounty. It carries forward the natural power of herbs and the essence of a thousand-year-old culture.

Housed in a substantial glass bottle, hand-polished to perfection, the bottle is adorned with a ‘meandering water’ pattern—a traditional motif derived from geometric ornamentation, abstracted from the concrete forms of the Jinsha, Lancang and Nu rivers. These three rivers are the three sisters of water; the ethnic groups living along their banks revere the goddess of water as their supreme deity. The bottle caps are crafted from natural timber sourced from the remote mountains of Yunshenbuzhichu; after months of sun-drying and hand-polishing, the wood has become dry and hard. In the rough texture of the bark, we can sense the tree’s story; bringing it close to our noses, we can still smell the scent of the mountains and forests.
